| Course Description | As a Stage Manager, collaborative leadership is a both a skill and an art. It is crucial to the success of any production. This involves understanding human behavior, developing effective communication skills, and fostering a holistic workplace environment. Contemporary stage managers need to develop “next practice” skills The goal of the course is to explore a variety of forward-thinking topics that focus on the process of leading theatrical teams; by the end of the semester, students should have not only a better understanding of next practice theory, but methodologies and competencies that they can deploy in practice. |
