Course Description

Reviews and integrates current research on the social psychology of helping. Discussions and readings will cover theoretical principles, methodological approaches, and cultural and motivational predictors for reciprocity, altruism, prosociality, help-seeking, and help-giving behavior on both personal and societal levels. Students will write a personal research proposal based on the theories presented during the seminar.
