Course Description | This seminar will focus on the schizophrenia-spectrum disorders and bipolar disorders. Topics include historical perspectives, diagnoses and symptoms, neural changes associated with the disorders, and research on effective treatments. Emphasis will be places on the impact of serious mental illness on families and communities as well as cultural differences in diagnosis, treatment and outcomes. |
