| Course Description | This doctoral course provides comprehensive, critical training in the full spectrum of literature synthesis methodologies used in nursing and health sciences research. Students gain the knowledge and skills to design, conduct, critically appraise, and report a range of review methodologies, including systematic, scoping, integrative, qualitative, and mixed-methods reviews. Emphasis is placed on reproducible search strategies, standardized reporting (e.g., PRISMA), protocol development, and evaluation of bias and strength of evidence. This course will equip students with the foundational knowledge and skills needed to begin their dissertation evidence synthesis; advanced application will be developed through subsequent dissertation work. |
