Course Description | The goals of this course are to provide students with a knowledge and understanding of clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles with application to neonatal and pediatric patients. The prevention and treatment of various disease states affecting neonatal and pediatric patients will be explored. This course will review pharmacotherapeutics including appropriate use, therapeutic medication monitoring, adverse medication reactions, precautions and contraindications, and medication safety as it affects the neonatal and pediatric population. |
