Course Description | This foundational course provides an understanding of addictive behaviors. Current theories regarding the development of addiction will be identified. Evaluation and assessment skills will be taught based on these theoretical models. Physiological, behavioral, emotional, and societal responses to addiction will be explored. Implications for nursing research are considered. |
