| Course Description | This course expands upon foundational knowledge of biophysical health problems to provide a comprehensive understanding of nursing practice in sexual and reproductive health care. The course integrates biopsychosocial sciences, epidemiology, and nursing sciences to deliver patient-centered evidence-based care during family planning, the processes of pregnancy and birth, and in the care of the newborn. Students will develop critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and interprofessional collaboration skills to ensure safe, high-quality, and equitable care within the context of the person, family, and community. |
