| Course Description | This course expands upon foundational knowledge of biophysical health problems to provide a comprehensive understanding of nursing care of the person experiencing acute and chronic mental health disorders. The course integrates biopsychosocial sciences, epidemiology, and nursing sciences to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care across the mental health-mental illness continuum and across the lifespan. Students will develop critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and interprofessional collaboration skills to ensure safe, high-quality, and equitable care within the context of the person, family, and community. |
