| Course Description | This fundamental course introduces students to core concepts of nursing science including taxonomy, philosophies of caring, nursing process, and evidence-based care. Concepts from the biological, physical, epidemiological, and behavioral sciences will be utilized as students begin the study of adults experiencing major biophysical health problems. The course is an introduction to the role of the professional nurse in medical/surgical nursing care of the adult client in context of populations. |
