Course Description | An introduction to the basic thermodynamics of systems, including concepts of equilibrium, entropy, thermodynamic functions, and phase changes. Basic kinetic theory and statistical mechanics, including diffusion processes, concept of phase space, classical and quantum statistics, and applications thereof. |
