Course Description The Branding in the Arts course will give students the opportunity to learn about how companies in the arts industries (music, visual arts, theater, and culinary arts) are addressing current branding and marketing challenges and opportunities while maintaining centuries-old traditions.

Students will examine current practices in branding of music, visual arts, theater and culinary arts. This will be done together with the professor through lectures and lecture/discussion sessions as well as through guest presentations from speakers of prominent arts organizations in New York. In the past, guest speakers included senior management and marketing professionals from Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan Museum opera; the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum; Broadway organizations; and the Union Square Hospitality Group as well as well-known chefs (among others).
