How is the job of top manager (aka general manager", CEO) different than other jobs, and how can you maximize your likelihood of success when you become a top manager? The top managers job involves more complexity than any other position in an organization, and fulfilling it requires a unique set of capabilities. We identify and invest in those capabilities in three areas: personal leadership; inter-personal leadership; and strategic leadership. The style of the class is hands-on and grounded in practice, with the goal of helping you move down the experience curve to actually build the capabilities youll need to succeed as a top manager. Well use multiple methods, but they will include simulations, case studies, and interviews with actual top managers."
