| Course Description | In this seminar, we will read a number of texts in and around the Roman side of the Argonautic tradition—the voyage of the world’s first ship Argo, and its tragic aftermath—from the Republic through the Late Empire; and we will end with W.E.B. Du Bois’ first novel, The Quest of the Silver Fleece. |
