Course Description | This course examines the history of warfare in modern Asia. We will explore how the changing nature of warfare intersected with the larger global processes that have shaped the modern world, including imperialism and colonialism, maritime trade and diplomacy, industrialization, the rise of militarism and humanitarianism, decolonization and Third World revolutions, and terrorism. |
