Course Description | In this course, we will explore zines, self-published works that allow individuals to creatively express their ideas, experiences, and perspectives. Using holdings from the Barnard Zine Library, we will engage in close and distant (i.e., computational) reading to explore the wide range of topics and styles represented in zines. Students will also create their own research-based zines, reimagining traditional academic models of research and writing in a more personal and accessible format. |
