Course Description

Principles of electromechanical energy conversion. Overview of electric motor types: DC, induction, and permanent magnet synchronous motors. Power electronic converters and modulation techniques. Torque-speed characteristics, dynamic response, efficiency analysis. Scalar and vector control methods. Motor modeling and simulation. Drive system components and integration. Applications in industrial automation, robotics, and electric vehicles.
