Course Description | Short Catalog Description: Course Description: The first part of the class will focus on examining indoor and outdoor air quality and how it impacts human health. It will include both particulate and chemical contaminants also include the effect of climate change. The second part will focus on water and its impact on health. This will include both drinking water and wastewater. We will learn about all types of water contaminants including: anthropogenic, geogenic, and microbial. The final part will focus on lead and human health and include its history along with current issues facing communities using Flint, Michigan as a case study. |
