Combining historical and contemporary perspectives, it reviews major development phases, including the export era, state-led industrialization, market reforms, and recent crises such as COVID-19. The course emphasizes comparative analysis of the region’s structural change, macroeconomic management, trade strategies, social policies, and debates over inequality. Students will analyze long-term economic trends and institutional legacies, assess policy frameworks, and explore challenges and opportunities for equitable and sustainable growth. |
