Course Description | Prerequisites: basic biology and biochemistry and instructor’s permission. Basic aspects of prokaryotic molecular biology and genetics. Regulation of gene expression, molecular genetics of bacterial viruses, plasmids and transposable elements. Modern molecular genetic approaches to complex biological phenomena. Format: four to five hours of lectures and discussions per week. |
