Course Description | Introduction to basic principles of how builders construct different types of projects. Detailed weekly cases of construction processes for infrastructure and building projects highlighting major differences between project types; challenges and solutions typically faced by project teams during construction. Types of projects covered: tunnels, bridges, skyscrapers, neighborhood development, mega programs, airports, and education. Detailed case studies of past and current iconic national and international projects, including in New York area. Site visits to active construction projects to learn directly from site engineers and team. CEEM sophomores only. |
