| Course Description | Develop process models of the human body to predict pharmaceutical effects as a function of time and organ (or cell) type to work for a wide variety of pharmaceuticals, including small molecules, biologics, and chemotherapy agents. Computer models of pharmacokinetic behavior will be developed and then used to analyze and design drug delivery regimens. Covers: spectrum of factors affecting pharmaceutical effects on physiology, including drug formulation, mode of dosing and dosing rate, metabolism and metabolic cascades, storage in fatty tissues, and diffusional limitations. |
