Course Description | Prerequisites: (CHEN E2100) and (CHEN E4140) CHEN E2100, CHEN E4140. The practical application of chemical engineering principles for the design and economic evaluation of chemical processes and plants. Use of ASPEN Plus for complex material and energy balances of real processes. Students are expected to build on previous coursework to identify creative solutions to two design projects of increasing complexity. Each design project culminates in an oral presentation, and in the case of the second project, a written report. |
