Course Description | Fundamentals of catalyst design and characterization, kinetic modeling and interpretation, and reactor design for CO2 utilization technologies. Topics include tandem catalysis, fundamentals of electrocatalysis, heterogeneous catalysis, catalytic processes for the activation of CO2, and reactive capture. Course grades are based on evaluating case studies, quizzes, and the final project design, where students apply concepts learned in class to propose solutions for practical, real-world CO2 utilization challenges. |
