Course Description | Prerequisites: CHEM BC2001. This course explores the periodic table in ways that deepen appreciation of the chemistry of the elements. It extends tools introduced in general chemistry with a particular focus on the rich and varied chemistry of the transition metal elements. Requiring only general chemistry, this course is open to students with interests in the role that metal ions play in biology, biochemistry, neuroscience and environmental science. |
