Course Description | The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the issues, opportunities, and challenges in advancing public policy to support the clean energy transition in the United States. Students will examine the US energy landscape, emerging pathways for a decarbonized energy system, and opportunities for government action. The course will address the interaction of policy and politics in setting clean energy policy, as well as policy, political and stakeholder engagement necessary for policy success. The course will equip students with the tools to develop and communicate energy policy recommendations, as well as to participate as advocates in the policy process. The course welcomes students of all nationalities and perspectives, to encourage lively and engaged exploration of clean energy policy challenges and approaches. |
