| Course Description | Key scientific concepts related to sustainable fuels, energy carriers, emissions management technologies, and the role of subsurface resources in meeting our energy needs in a sustainable manner are discussed. Students will apply the fundamentals of material and energy conversions and recovery to better establish the technological basis of harnessing natural resources in a responsible manner. Students will also evaluate the impacts of existing and emerging energy technologies on the environment. |
